Since the project of the large amphibious aircraft, AVIC Radar Institute has actively participated in the design demonstration of this type, and provided continuous technical support in the overall development process of the aircraft. In 2019, it officially became the manufacturer of AG600M aircraft weather radar, fully undertook the development of AG600M aircraft project weather radar, and fully completed the work of product system design, product development, integration testing and airworthiness verification with the aircraft, successfully completed the random airworthiness certification task of weather radar. In the past 6 years, under the strong support of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and airworthiness certification experts, and under the care and guidance of superior units such as the group company, the radar Institute has identified risks in advance and actively deployed multiple resources. Major nodes such as qualification test, manufacturing conformance check, functional performance appraisal test, software and hardware SOI#1-SOI#4 review, indicating conformance test flight, and certification test flight have been completed. Taking the initiative, the project team has repeatedly carried out its aircraft scientific research and test flights to improve product maturity, and the project team has practiced the new era aviation service spirit of “loyalty and dedication, self-reliance, hard work, and climbing the peak” with practical actions, and has contributed great strength to the AG600M aircraft forensics.
