Introduction: Infrared-transmitting acrylic is a component used in optical instruments. It is a black or dark red material based on acrylic. The characteristic of this material lies in providing black vision within the visible light range (with a visible light transmittance of less than 1% in the 400-700nm range), but it can transmit through the near-infrared region with wavelengths above 800-1600nm, with a transmittance of about 90%.
