Seven Radium Q20 drones developed by the United Aircraft Group in Chengdu perform tasks on the high-speed main line from Harbin to Yabuli during the 9th Asian Winter Games (AFG) on Feb 9. With fully automatic takeoff and landing, real-time picture transmission and rapid emergency response capabilities, and in collaboration with the Laser hangar, United Aircraft Corporation provides intelligent and all-weather support for the traffic safety of the event, greatly improving the efficiency and safety of traffic support, and interpreting a deep integration of technology and traffic support.

The Radium Q20 UAV can fly for a long time, with a maximum range of 75 kilometers, and can work for more than 50 minutes with the photoelectric pod, the loudspeaker and other loads, and can also work stably in the extremely cold environment of -40℃. During the flight, the drone quickly captures and identifies a variety of road conditions, such as snow on the road, vehicle queues, and traffic accidents. Once an anomaly is found, the command center can accurately determine the specific location of the incident, and quickly pass the information to the maintenance, rescue and other relevant units.

Previously, the Radium Q20 UAV performed a number of major event support tasks. In Harbin, the drone was on patrol during the Dragon Boat Festival, escorting dragon boat races along the Songhua River. In Huangshan, Anhui province, the Radium Q20 UAV cooperated with the TD550 unmanned helicopter to carry out flood situation inspection, material delivery, communication relay and other emergency support, providing strong support for rescue work in complex terrain. In the Shenzhen event, the Radium Q20 drone sent cool “rain” to the track through the innovative mode of “low altitude + sports”.
